ABOUT
NANCI is a singer-songwriter based in Austin, Texas. She began writing music at the ripe age of 13 when she first picked up a guitar and starting turning her poetry to music. In her hometown of Chicago, she started performing her originals as a freshman in high school at various open mics around the city. At 15 she released her self-produced EP Inside my Head and started selling CDs at her gigs. Her hard work paid off at 16 when she placed 3rd in Chicago's oldest singer-songwriter competition, at Uncommon Ground.
After taking 6 years off from performing to complete her undergraduate degree at Clemson University and Masters at the University of Texas at Dallas, NANCI moved to Austin to continue pursuing her professional and music career. She first broke into the Austin music scene at Austin's famous open mic “Late at the Lake” where her live performance of her original “Wildfires” was featured on their podcast.
Since landing in Austin, NANCI has performed in singer-songwriter showcases and gigs as a solo artist at Mozart's, Freddo's, the Hive, performed at House Wine, and Austin Garden & Studios. Her solo and duo cover sets are comprised of pop, indie-folk, country, and originals.
She is currently working on recording a series of singles to release in November 2024.
